Applications move through county departments in sequence:

After your application is assessed, a fee invoice is generated based on project type, size, and development category. You can view invoices in your applicant dashboard under the application payments section.
Pay at the Bungoma County Revenue Office using the invoice number. Present your payment receipt for verification by county revenue officers. Your application will not proceed until payment is confirmed.
After permit approval, you may request site inspections through your applicant portal:
- Foundation inspection — Before pouring concrete
- Structural inspection — During construction
- Final inspection — Upon completion, required for occupation certificate
A county building inspector will schedule and conduct the inspection. Results are available in your dashboard.
After construction is complete and a satisfactory final inspection report is filed, you may request an occupation certificate through your applicant portal. The county verifies compliance with the approved permit before issuing the certificate.

Anyone can report unauthorized construction or land use violations through the Report Illegal Development form. Provide the location, description, and photos if available. You will receive a reference code for your report.
